Have you been to Stone? Not necessarily the best beer, but easily the nicest location in North County. Lost Abbey is worth swinging through as well.

Encinitas Ale House for great beers and burgers
Encinitas 101 diner for the best Benedict (if your lucky they'll have Cardiff Crack Benedict)
Cardiff for some Cardiff Crack (amazing tri tip) at seaside Market
Pizza Port (any location)
Burgeon Brewing
Crack Shack
Rudys Taco Shop
Robertos at 101 & LaCosta
Fish 101
Get a Rueben at Moto Deli
Bagbys in Oceanside is a must
Poor House for good beer and music
Steady State Roasting in Carlsbad

I could go on...

Best place in North County is Casa de drbenzo...just sayin.

The Poor House is a dive bar in Oceanside :D

Edit: I don't even know what you're talking about on 30th... shruggyguy.txt

Phew, ok...it didn't show up as I did a quick search. Poor House Brewery down on 30th was basically a bro place since it was just beer sluts peddling subpar suds.

Looking for some North County advice. I'll be in the Vista area for one night next week, looking for input on best place to stay and places to hit up. Trying to decide if I should stay in Vista, San Marcos, or somewhere else nearby. Tentative plan is to hit as many of these as possible...

-Toolbox
-Belching Beaver
-Mother Earth
-Rip Current
-Churchill's

any spots I should add or drop from this list? Food recommendations welcome as well. I have never been to any spots in the North County. Please and thank you.

Downtown Vista will allow you to hit up Mother Earth and Belching Beaver. Eat at the Beaver brewpub, get pizza from Urbn, or eat at Flying Pig. Sublime is close to Rip Current and Churchill's and has a bunch of taps. There's also the new Urge Craft Alley spot in San Marcos for food and beer. You can also hit up Urge in Oceanside as well.

I mean, to each their own, but sometimes it's nice to have a beer in a spot that's not an industrial park. Stone Escondido is a great spot to have a beer, especially if you've never been before.

And I'd go to the one in Escondido any day over Liberty Station.

Agreed, Stone Escondido is one of the best spots to have a beer in San Diego. I prefer the food at LS though.

Went to the tasting room del mar. Drank 95 Til Infinity. Beers is great, atmosphere is pretty, some of you should visit north county today....

I haven't. Is it SD Beer Friends bad? Or Stephen Body good?
