Costco Carlsbad has 2.5 inch, USDA Prime Bone-in Ribeyes once a month for 13.99/lb. I've checked into the meat suite once a month for the past 4 months haha.

275 degrees F until 115 internal temperature, let rest for 10 minutes, and then reverse seared to perfection!

How do you know when they come in?

5x speedways tomorrow, each with different coffee used.

-Speedway Stout w/ Dark Horse Coffee
-Speedway Stout w/ Swell Coffee Co. Mission Beach
-Speedway Stout w/ Bird Rock Coffee Roasters <-- this is what was used in Hammerhead and Double Hammerhead
-Speedway Stout w/ Modern Times Beer <-- was told this one is the Bangarang/MT collab coffee
-Speedway Stout w/ House Roasted AleSmith Coffee
I'm pretty sure Swell provided the coffee for Hammerhead.

Swell also provided the coffee for Mokasida, Mexican, Boxcar, and a couple other variants I don't remember.

Source: I work for the company that owns Swell.

I am just going by what I was told last night in the tasting room.

I don't, haha!

I've been lucky that every time I've gone there, about one Saturday a month, they have had the Special Meat and Seafood display set up.

It's once a month though and it's totally worth it: great seafood selection and meat selection.

Are you sure it's not a weekly thing? The Costco Morena has that pop-up every Friday and Saturday. I tend to buy the ribeye caps if I happen to be there during one of those days.

I get you. I might actually be wrong too; I know for sure they provided the beans for Triple Hammerhead a few Speedway Grand Prix's ago, but dunno exactly what they did for the bottled versions.

Either way, down.

A small group of techy nerds along with myself will be there likely around 5pm. Because traffic sucks and Alesmith just so happens to be on their way home from qualcomm....kinda....or at least close enough it makes sense to stop and hang out for a bit. =)

I'm all set to meet up with yinz at MT Thur night! Has a time been set? What are you up too tonight? Where are you staying? I'm just curious, as MrsBenzo works a 24... I'll be at home watching the Pens game.
Padres game with Socalkicks tonight. We're staying just outside of the gas lamp

It might be? It seems like it might be since it's there every weekend I happen to go, but the meatman did tell me it's only once a month.

Ribeye caps? I've been looking for those! I may need to hit up Costco Morena!

I San Diego'd hard last night. I blame Sage since I was already drunk when we met up. I also bought him a gift card to societe for the lulz

It took five or six rounds of email, but I finally received my refund check from Stone for that collaboration bait and switch.
