BA adjust stout bottle release at Resident on Saturday. Sale starts in two hours for pre-order.

And hot damn it was delicious. We had a bottle opened for us last night after the softball game. Not overly sweet, coconut takes front stage to flavor, didn't notice any floaties but I had a pour from the top of the bottle, such a well-executed beer.

I'll have to purchase one and just deal with getting there at some point in the next month.

I'm coming to San Diego this weekend for the Festival of Dankness. Any other events, tappings or other shenanigans I should seek out this weekend?

LIC tap takeover at Bottlecraft Little Italy tonight and Finback tomorrow.
Moksa tap takeover at Bar Sin Nombre tomorrow.
Cloudburst and Cerebral at Hamiltons on Friday.
Moksa tap takeover at Toronado Sunday.

Anyone else hyped for the Jetty release this weekend? I'm looking forward to stocking up on that one.

Also, did anyone try the Keene Idea cans? I had one friend say it was just like OG and another friend said it was sweet and malty. I didn't want to bother driving out there to pick up so I didn't buy, but I'm curious what others think of it.

I thought it was killer, just a hair below OG, but really captured that authentic Alpine character. It was a touch boozy and sweet, but not enough to detract from the end result for me.

Keene Idea was solid, but I also don't remember it tasting so...hazy?

In other news, I learned that Disneyland has Horus on tap. I'd love to hear how the hell that happened.

I thought KI was always on the hazy side of appearance, but perhaps not as much as Nelson could be.

“Hazy” as in yeastie and aspirin bite? Or some other taste?

Horus pouring at Disney seems odd. But hasn’t he done some contract brewing?

Thanks to Pizza Port for continuing to fight the good fight against $20 four packs and putting out killer core lineup and awesome special releases.

Hazy like an unfiltered west coast double IPA, or like one that hasn't been fined to hell, but not yeastie. The great batches of Nelson were hazy as well.

A little more malty throughout (but not overly so), with a little more bitter bite at the end than I remember. It was still good though.

Looking at old check ins, 2015 and prior batches of KI were maybe a slight chill haze (I can read the coaster on the other side of the glass), but the past couple have been full blown milky hazebros. It’s nowhere near what it used to be. Sad.

Congrats to bagby for blowing night of the ultras crazy pricing out of the water. Glad to see they really took last years price criticism to heart and said screw it we’re going to $80+
