Alpine still has Great (just regular) to go. Also both Greats on tap. $6 for 12 oz is Live Wire cray cray. Got empty growlers with me, anything I should get (that isn’t an Alpine*, but Alpine Alpine lol)?
HFS is good and even regular ass Nelson was pretty good. The nose was spot on, flavor and color was probably... 80%Alpine still has Great (just regular) to go. Lost Abbey shirt? I knew I recognized you but couldn't place it. Unless that wasn't you... In which case, disregard.Tried a few things but wasn’t sold on getting a growler.
Did it, but not now have to make it their before taking off for a trip. #firstworldproblems

Let us know how the membership beers tastes. Supposedly there will be some on tap, hopefully they'd keep it just for members.Hitting up Wild Barrel around noon or so to collect the first of the member bottles, have a beer, throw some axes...good times expected.
the aroma is ******* perfect, but I liked HFS more as a wholeAt Alpine and I'm pleasantly surprised with this batch of Nelson. Instead of crushing disappointment, I'm tasting a glimmer of the old Alpine greatness. I would definitely order another pint of this.
It's the mouthfeel that nails it, that softness was consistently missing from those Nelson* batchesthe aroma is ******* perfect, but I liked HFS more as a whole
Wave a familiar aroma around thenm and all those shady business dealings fall by the wayside.Look at you all fallin for that late night Alpine booty.

Thanks! I’m heading down Saturday, so hopefully it’ll still be on tap.Actually rather delicious. I was scared with the barrel selection but it worked out rather well. Got some nice chocolate and dark fruit flavors out of it. Sadly I couldn't let it warm up entirely since we had a lane reservation (lolz, you gotta reserve the lanes) for axe throwing. Turns out, I'm not that terrible at it and will survive in a zombie apocalypse.
It was on draft, and it was only for members. You got a taster ticket with your pickup for a free 4oz pour of it. I did not ask if I could pay for another 4oz pour though.

I'll have to put that on the list. I have an Ethiopia Bensa Bombe coming from Onyx and a Panama Elida Estate from Verve - gonna put my new v60 through the paces.TalkCoffee - Bird Rock's Kiunyu Peaberry is fantastic, one of my favorite coffees I've had recently. Loads of dried fruit with cinnamon and winter spices.
I love my counter top roaster... my smoke detectors HATE IT! I have to roast in my garage, but it’s still totally worth it.I've been roasting my own coffee lately. I'll have to see if I can hunt down those green beans.
Hoping to get a proper counter-top roasting machine for Christmas.

Living across from la Costa roasting co prepared me to roast outside from the get go.I'll likely do the same. I've already been yelled at for smoking up the kitchen in the house with a whirly pop.
You don't drink Great - you max out on bottles and try to profit from secondary. Duh.Great still on tap at Alpine... Not complaining about it but how is this still on!?
Does Great even have much of a secondary market? I bought my 3 on EventBrite and then they offered me the option to buy more in person when I picked up. Not denigrating the beer at all, I think it's ******* delicious, but I can't imagine there's much secondary when you could cruise up the hill and snag it pretty easily. You don't drink Great - you max out on bottles and try to profit from secondary. Duh.
The secondary these days is fueled by deception and the "good word" of those selling it. I don't doubt there are shitlords out there stocking up on it, waiting a couple months for everyone to drink their allocation, and then unloading them at obscene prices.Does Great even have much of a secondary market? Mostra the Great, yeah, between how limited it was and the word "Mostra," I'm guessing that's going for a premium.
