Unsolicited advice but be careful with your timing. First game of the playoffs for the Gulls this evening so traffic and the tasting room will both be a shitshow from 5:30 - 7ish.

Yeah, we already looked at that this morning when my buddy told me he was going to the game. The better half realized that she sent a text after we left the last game we were at and that was around 9:48pm. So based on that, we are going to look at hitting up MT around 9. Parking will suck, but likely head over to Staples and park there and then walk over, get a pour, do our pickups and gtfo before the game finishes.

Also kinda sad that my buddy is going to the game, otherwise I totally would have asked to pay for his tickets.

Could always pickup tomorrow - it's on the way to nanobrew anyway (that's my plan)

That was the original plan, but I am heading up to Lost Abbey to pickup right as they open and swing by a buddy's place to grab a bottle of Appreciation he picked up for me. He flagged me as his MT proxy since I am going tonight to get his stuff, my stuff, girl's stuff and then will drop off tomorrow while I am in the area.

Still going to MT tomorrow though since I have a trade to make. Someone offered a rbvass for a shrine 1:1, couldn't pass that up. Just gotta figure out which CCB El Cat bottle to give him because he is offering far too much and I feel bad taking advantage of that.

They don't wanna DO them all up and hurt Sage's feelings yet.

There is a label for Orange X cans on TTB, as well as the cans sitting on site already. ;)

Looks like Black Plague (per Bill's IG account) unless he is just doing a guest brew there....
Oh wow, and to think I'd written Black Plague off completely. They're one of those companies funded by skaters looking to hit it big (my former boss is an investor) - but it looks like they're trying to do things right.

X cans tho
Are you ever satisfied?

Are you basing that off anything other than Bill Batten helping them out? I know nothing about them so that's an honest question, but considering St Archer made some phenomenal hires (Yiga for example), talking an unemployed brewer into doing some consulting/part time work wouldn't really sway my views on their intent.

powz87, what dates are you hitting up SD again? Toro Tuesday might have to be changed up, since I don't think the usual crew tends bar then for the blessing.
We don't have to bottle share if they did. I'd more or less just like to get together with all of you guys. I haven't been trading much anyways so my cellar is pretty weak

Just on that and on what my former boss (now friend) has been telling me. Their aesthetic is stuck in the mid-00's Stone "YOU ARE NOT WORTHY" era, but it looks like their making decent strides into at least contributing to the scene in a positive way, despite their end goal.

Word to your mother. We'll figure that **** out.

I know its far for most but Encinitas does allow beer and wine to be consumed in their parks.

Visited Resident Brewing for the first time last night = VERY IMPRESSED! They definitely have their hoppys/IPAs dialed in ... everything I tried was solid ... top 4 were Occupant, Haze of Thunder, Chasing Citra & Chasing Galaxy with Occupant being my fave. Interesting setup right smack inside The Local (which had decent food). For such a young brewery, I definitely was impressed ... reminded me of Riip in Huntington Beach.

Glad you made the visit. You're preaching to the choir. :)

Was Vacation on? Always curious to hear feedback on that beer.

What's going on today? Just mashed in for a hoppy pale ale. I'm going to head down south later. Figure I would stop at AleSmith to pick up bottles but I'm not sure where to go after (or before).
Veritas pickups today, right? Beyond that, you got

-Mikkeller's newest hazy goodness - this time it has lactose in it!
-Bottlecraft has some cans out in honor of Earth Day, a collab with Pure Project and another brewery I can't remember

Mother Earth is the other brewery.

So not nothing much interesting for me. Although I heard V019 is excellent, I didn't buy any.
