My list was positive vibez bruddah.

Because of #3, we can no longer drink beers together. Most of the rest I would agree with though.

I don't think you're allowed to live in San Diego tbh. #AvocadosIsLife

2011 was it bro. Pre Cars Land. So mellow.

2009 and 2010 I had a socal pass. Oh the days of ditching class to go hang all day at Disney midweek.

I remember when I didn't like guac. I was such a dumb child.

I only ever claim to be smart in my job and my gaming....everything aside from that is entirely up in the air.

But seriously, I keep trying it and just...bleh each time. Tacos/burritos/nachos/different meats/chips I just can't. Same can be said with sushi, although I will eat Uni and those philadelphia rolls.

I can only stand avocado on sushi / poke. But I don't want it making my steaming hot, deliciously greasy carne asada burrito COLD and SOGGY. Gross.

When is the last time you've actually had sashimi or poke?
I feel like Hillcrest - maybe 8 years ago? Forget the name of the restaurant but VERY close to the 15.

Also scarred for life from Dim Sum year 1999. FIL ( now, GF's dad then ) made sure tripe, chicken feet, "blood jello cubes" et al came. He had a good time. Now I am extremely careful around Asian food.

Definitely some **** I don't get down with (tripe, chicken feet, ugh) but having asian in-laws has definitely made me more adventurous. Go and try tuna poke again. Not salmon, not albacore - get ahi. Super mild, absolutely no fishiness.

Will do. If I bring it up the wife will:

This I can agree with you on, which is why burritos should never have guac or sour cream inside. Pico MAYBE but rather not. I will administer my guac dosages per bite. No soggy burritos allowed.

I do miss CA Mexi food. Nothing like a breakfast burrito. This was our goto walking distance joint:

Pretty damn good. I like the TexMex here but haven't found a legit Mexi joint.
Tex BBQ doesn't make up for lack of CA Mexi?

Dude, even in downtown Milwaukee I was able to find legit mexi food. Granted they finally closed last year, but still. It was no hole-in-the-wall taco shop but a much better than average sit down joint where they didn't believe in carding, and your first trip there you had to ride the mechanical chili in the window while wearing the sombrero....just because.

It's good, but on the expensive side. Ive been to 2 of the top rated joints in town and enjoyed them both a lot. We have a lot of Mexican restaurants but they just don't do a burrito right. My favorite texmex doesn't agree with the wife so we don't dine there much. And in thinking about that, she's gone Friday so I better stuff my face silly.

In the end, I'd rather stuff my face with more rice and beans than brisket. And ******* I miss breakfast burritos.
