I forgot to report my thoughts. But I loved this beer. I just got the second batch in last week as well as his dark Saison. It's very Hill Farmstead and Tired Hands like to an extent all while being his own thing. I'm really looking forward to all of his releases! That berry sour was amazing.

My bottles of the newest releases are coming this week and I'm quite excited.

Speaking of new saisons, my box with De Ranke Simplex (and the other new De Ranke saisons) arrived today. Will be trying Simplex this evening and will share thoughts. Can't wait.

De Ranke Simplex.

Very similar general profile as XX Bitter but lighter all around. Still the same mild earthy, floral background. Touch of biscuit/cracker malt character plus a firm, but not too heavy, bitterness through the finish. Also, love the 4.5% ABV!

dammit i got one and ended up sending it as na ectra to a regular trade partner, i wasnt able to get a second one on time. now im regretting it . last years version was fantastic, i probably should have held waited until i got a second bottle before sending, but hell someone will be enjoying a good beer

i never see any love to Anchorage love buzz. the new batch just came out, easily one of my all time favorites. id put that up against the best in a blind tasting and i bet it would do well. anyone else enjoy that one? ive got a few 2014s still i should probably get to

Found a few of these at work the other day. Forgot I had them. I also forgot how god damn good this beer is.

2014 Batch 3 Anchorage Love Buzz. Just shy of 3 years old now.

The brett has taken a turn for the awesome. Tons of tropical flavors that go great with the pinot barrel treatment. No signs of oxidization. Medium carb. Low-moderate tartness. Gonna have to bring the others home with me.

Suarez Call to Mind.

Lemon up front. Lightly floral with a hint of grass. Dry, crisp finish with a light acidity. Another big winner from Suarez. I've been a huge fan of all the saisons I've had to date (not to mention the lagers...)

This is another special one. I'm pretty sure my favorite beer I've had from these guys. I have one more bottle from 2015 and I need to get some more of this one for sure.

Dry, drinkable, lightly tart, hints of character malts, little bit of a rustic brett character, and tons of herbal qualities. I could drink this one for days if it weren't 7.5% ABV.

Suarez Slow Bustle.

Another big hit. Honey is fairly prominent with some light backing acidity and faint phenolics. Smooth, crisp body. Some perceived fullness that I'm guessing is from the honey.

So this one was a bit of a personal whale for me. I'm super glad I got to try it. This is the 2015 release.

Nose is spicy with a lot of citrus pith and a hint of tartness. Hill Farmstead culture is definitely there as well.

The taste follows with a super citrusy hop type profile and a little grass and dried citrus peel. Drinks completely dry and finishes swift with a light aftertaste of the citrus and hill farmstead signature profile.

I would never turn this down but I don't think I'd go through the same lengths to get it again. It's definitely one of the best beers I've had in a long time and could be up on the list for one of the best ever though. It definitely held up nicely.

Perennial Flume, saison with orange peel and coriander, nice body and the additions aren't overdone. Goes great with my grilled cheese.

Yes, 2012 was in 375s. My third favorite HF beer ever, the name was appropriate.

Love their beers and general philosophy. Membership is great, though I wish a lot of the beers were sub-6% rather than being over 7%. Hope to visit in the near future!

Pretty easy, found it a lot when I was there and most of the time it was fresh.

Casey East Bank (4/30/15) on a rainy chilly May evening in Chicagoland. Funky musty Brett character, stonefruit yeast esters with a bit of clove and black pepper phenolic, slight lactic tartness, very light hopping with a light bitterness, grainy / cracker like malt profile, great highly carbed and dry finish. Just about a perfect modern American example of the style.

It is really good, and seems like East Bank / Saison are on the shelf in CO these days.

I actually found it to be quite succinct while also painting a pretty clear picture of the beer! Apparently the studying has paid off!

More or less, depending on what he has been releasing. Right now it's been Saison dry hopped with nelson and motueka mostly (which is fantastic). Some Denver shops have some older Saison sitting around still.
