Saison newb review - this is soooooi good!

Tried 2 of the blackberry farms fruits today. The apricot was a bit underwhelming as the pepperiness of the yeast overwhelmed the apricot. The basil plum was quite good IMO. Basil was present without being too strong white the plums holding on in the background. Quite nice.

Basil saison sounds awesome. It'd have to be light, but it'd be great with a meal. That Mikkeller Spontanbasil was legit.

Catching up on some recent saisons consumption.

DDT x-post from tonight:

Just as good as previous tap versions I've had. Bright lemony citrus, Foeder oak, bready malts with a nice tartness, stone fruit and slight estery yeast.

Starting to take a more lactic turn. Mild Greek yogurt with a bright citrus blast. Light biscuit malts. Pretty darn tart.

Courtesy of capnmike! Great noble hop presence. Restrained but cuts the estery yeast nicely. Solid biscuit malt backing and stone fruit.

Not enough Brett in a prairie farmhouse ale? That would be a first for me. Stopped buying Prairie after too many overcarbed Brett bombs.
Hah, that's funny. No bought one of these and it was still. Not a good enough beer ton drink that way, so straight down the drain.

I'm drinking a 3/9/16 Casey Saison, which is a bit too sour for my mood at the moment. Did not stop me from drinking the last sip between typing the first and last sentence of this post... goodnight folks

Hey Folks, cross posting this from the brewerania forum for folks who are interested in the Group glass purchase. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns and cheers!

Greetings all. I'm the founder of the Saison, Bière de Garde, & Farmhouse Ale Appreciation Society over on FB. We're having our 1st ever group glass buy. The Libbey glasses are 15.52 oz and made in Germany by the famous Spiegelau company, and have an etched field worker carrying a scythe (a saisonnier of course).
