Just drank one. It's good, but, frankly, not that different from the original #5. Not very much barrel character at all.

Must be a lot of bottle variation, because the bottle I drank yesterday was VERY barrel heavy.

I got plenty of barrel flavor in the bottle I drank as well. There wasn't much smokiness left and a whole lot of dark fruit flavors had become more pronounced as well. It didn't taste much like what I remember #5 tasting like at all.

They told me it was 10. It would make more sense if it was from 5, except he said it was barrel aged for a few months. But, nebco likes to **** with people so you may be right.

Over an hour wait according to my friend there. He said its really solid though.

Line around 12 snaked around past the front door and along side that long high table in front of the windows. Maybe an hour wait. Beer is ******* out of this world, NEBCO really knocked it out of the park with this one. I normally find their darker offerings to be less amazing than their hoppier ones, but the amount of coffee they have somehow managed to pack into this beer is mind blowing.

edit: for what's its worth, it sounds like they made a pretty good amount of the coffee breath and they expected to have enough of it to make it through monday and tuesday (if you're brave enough to face the pre-holiday rush)

I liked coffee breath quite a bit (the sample I had), and definitely a lot of coffee, but thought for a imp milk stout it could have used noticeably more sweetness and the mouthfeel was not my favorite. But, my palate was also completely blown at that point anyway so who knows. Will drink a growler tomorrow and re-evaluate.

Also, props to Craig and the other folks in the tasting room... that was the fastest I've ever seen a NEBCO line go before.

Beats me. I would take it to mean that they will be working to expedite the checkout process for everyone in line, but would be sticking to a strict 7pm closing.

Then again, they're probably just ******* with everyone and are already planning to close shop at 4:15pm regardless.
