Anyone know if proxy pickup is possible for the solstice sale?
Did they get hacked or will I if I visit their site? No answer would surprise me.This is how you get hacked.
I’m sure you will get a quick reply if you message themAnyone know if proxy pickup is possible for the solstice sale?
That's the correct URL. I think they keep taking the site down to add more ludicrously priced beer.Wait, what is the ****** website address? Is it not kbrewery.com?

Who knows? The stickers they put on BBA4D just said "barrel aged" but it was clearly bourbon barrel aged, so I don't know.BA4D and American being shown as BA not Bourbon BA? Am I reading that right?
I want BBA4D!
Both Bourbon BA. Got a 4 pack of 4D. American gone after about 5 minutes.Who knows? The stickers they put on BBA4D just said "barrel aged" but it was clearly bourbon barrel aged, so I don't know.
I'm avoiding the whole thing to see how it works this year and to find out if the beer is any good. After what they did to both KRE and DRIPA, I don't trust them with my money this year.
Please report back on eisbocks. I thought the last batch of raspberry was pretty ******.Got what I wanted. Seemed easy, still nervous until I have all eisbocks and variety pack in hand
You can buy 6 if you get a caseIs there a limit on 4 packs of the same item? Earlier someone told me you could buy multiples but now it looks like I can only get 1 at a time.
Because they're still hand bottling everything and they don't actually have a large quantity of anything? They're almost out of 4pks of BB4D and BBBW as well.Man how did the stout sell out so fast lol
Spoiler: It won't be.grabbed a bb4d 4 pack just now. easy enough. hope it's good.
yudodis? C'mon Andy. There has to be ONE redeeming quality left at Kuhnhenn. This and BBBW.Spoiler: It won't be.
Really a nice little space that they have there. Good food and nice people. While I'm obviously playing fast and loose with the definition of Metro Detroit, I had a great time at Old Nation Brewing Company in Williamston, MI on Saturday night.

Rolled up based on the GPS directions which brought us into town via a gravel road and I thought I had made a mistake until I saw folks parking the back and walking around to the front door.
Wasn't sure what to expect given their success with M43 and Boss Tweed, but came away really impressed with the selection of styles they had on (Rye Pale Ale, Malt Liquor, NE IPA, Altbier, Gose, Vienna Lager, Adjunct Stout, BA Barleywine, Cream Ale, DIPA and a Dry Hopped Saison).
The Vienna Lager was a bit toastier / more robust than most in the style, but still really clean and tasty. The BA Barleywine was really impressive (2 years in stainless, 6 months in a bourbon barrel), and The Fine Stranger was a weird hybrid that worked for me.
Had an appetizer that was solid, and liked the taproom space (which seemed to be full of families at 630 on a Saturday). Spent $90 on 3 beers, an appetizer, and x4 4packs of cans with a tip which seemed pretty good to me.
Not sure when I'll make it back up here, but certainly willing to go back if travel plans allow for it.
Call me crazy, but I dig the GR space more than the Detroit. Seemed to be missing something. Maybe everytime I go to GR its busy and full of life. I dunno. Also checked out the new Founders Detroit taproom while I was up there this weekend.

I've not been a fan of the remodeled Grand Rapids taproom as it lost all the character / charm of the old space and seems like an impersonal beer hall that is always too busy without a great tap list most days. The Detroit Taproom gets back some of the charm of the old space (great outdoors space, lots of smaller tables, multiple areas within the taproom) and had on a killer taplist (Tankbender, Barrel Aged Sumatran Mountain Brown, KBS, Harvest Ale, Trigo IPL, a tasty vienna lager) compared to what I normally see on non event days at the Grand Rapids spot.
Didn't have any food, but it looked good and the prices for beers were extremely reasonable. Parking was a little tricky as the back lot isn't really clearly marked, but after a few minutes was able to be found. Also the area itself seemed to be just fine, but they did have security outside and at the door which I found surprising.
Will certainly be back and a great addition to the somewhat lackluster brewery / taproom scene in the city.
They also always have had security checking IDs at GR when I've gone. They don't all the time?
I have had mine checked in broad daylight, because college town. Maybe they changed the rules at some point?Maybe it's a function of when you go, but since I'm never there after 9 (which I believe is when it becomes 21+ to enter), I've never had my ID checked at the door, and only very rarely at the bar.
Have heard almost nothing but terrible things about the mug club administration so far (if you got anything but just your name)Been to the Detroit taproom twice. Friday and Saturday.
Friday was cool. Busy but not crazy. Parking was a nightmare but service was phenomenal and the food was good.
Saturday was a complete 180. Busy but not crazy. However the service was atrocious and they ran out of just about everything on the food menu by 830pm. How that happens I'll never know. Had one drink and left.
Hoping to chalk it up to growing pains. Got a mug club membership there so I hope that's the case.
DACBE unhappy again?Have heard almost nothing but terrible things about the mug club administration so far (if you got anything but just your name)
Lol. You would be surprised how few people like or comment when I remind them a Dark Horse mug is $60 for life and none of this ********. Dark Horse isn’t perfect, but even they haven’t ****** up this bad.DACBE unhappy again?
Honestly the only places I have drank downtown are Roast and Slows. Such a suburbanite, I know, but I really don't leave the greater Ferndale area when I am in town, unless required to for family reasons.Honestly, the best thing about Founders coming to Detroit, from what I can tell, is that it makes it much easier for things like KBS/CBS bottle releases, and I can always go in there and find 3-4 world class beers on tap and get a decent sandwich while I drink.
Given the relatively sad state of affairs regarding breweries in Detroit, I'll ******* take it.
