Here's the thing with Schramm's tasting room...

I hate drinking there. Hate it. Whether I'm alone or with one person or a group. I can't stand it. It's so sterile and so blah. The people are incredibly nice, don't get me wrong. But I just hate it in there.
I like the people there, but I definitely do my hours and hours of hang out at Cellarmens. It’s lighter on the wallet and there is a wider of variety of options for when my stomach can’t take another acidic or high abv mead since they have some session meads and beers.

10 idiots standing outside of RO Hopcat 30 minutes before they opened, just to get their CBS pours.
And Holiday just announced they aren’t selling it today or tomorrow. Hoping this isn’t a distro issue since I’d like to grab some today.

Saw the bottle list for Solstice @ Kuhnhenn. Can't find any info on how to get a ticket for bottle release. Anyone know anything? Their website is down.

Assuming they will announce more details via the facebook over the coming days.

As for the thing that is CBS.... for real, if anyone has a bottle (or two) I'd legitimately trade for them. Will not post in ISO/FT threads in fear of Photekut like. ;)

I have been checking eventbrite just to see if there is a date for them to go on sale. They have used them for all their bottle releases and since it is Kuhnhenns, they may just have ticket sales go live and forget to announce it.

I'll be up in the Madison Heights / Ferndale / Greater Detroit area next weekend, and can certainly trade a bottle of CBS for a Casey Family Preserve Cherry. No real plans on Saturday except for the Cellarmens Krampus party that evening, and Schramms Holiday Gala on Sunday.

I'd probably take you up on it more for touching tips, as its been awhile, than anything else.
But my weekends.... hell, my weekdays..... are a rough go lately. Peak daddy taxi season.

As it turns out I grabbed tix for the CBS gauging at the new Founders taproom in midtown. Excited to have them so close and right around the corner from 8 degrees, and nearby JP and HopCat. Nice little crawls can be easily arranged.

Looking forward to hearing what people think of the new place. Yeah, its Founders. Call me a homer or old, or just out of touch, but I've always enjoyed my visits to the GR spot.

What day? Please tell me this is the time we finally rub nips, touch tips, whatever teebee'ers do.... ;)
I got Friday. Heading over on my lunch. Sorry, not sorry. I can only take so much America. ;)
Sunday. No Lions game that day, so figured I'd treat wife and youngster to lunch at the swanky new brewery.

Winter Solstice bottle sale will be conducted via the Kuhnhenn website. Various configurations of pre-packed packages of beer at different price points. Pre-sale starts 12/10, with bottle pickup starting 12/21 thru the end of the year.

I wouldn't be concerned that the Kuhnhenn website is down. I'm sure this will go well, just like the production facility and the bottling line and the getting their beers into distribution throughout Michigan and beyond.

wait.. they're doing it VIA their website? Not an eventbrite or ticketfly? Never ceases to amaze.

Blackberry, Cherry, Blueberry and Raspberry Eisbocks are $35 each, 375ml
American Imperial Stout, $36 per 4pk of 12oz bottles
BBBW, $32 per 4pk of 12oz bottles

There's some others, but that's what they have posted so far.

Also, at a different place on the website, they KRE listed for $31.50/375ml.
