I've heard thats good stuff. Not had it yet. I'll take your word for it.For my money, Stormy from North Peak is at least as good and half the price.

NP Stormy $0.15/oz (@10.99/6pk)For my money, Stormy from North Peak is at least as good and half the price.
Apparently my math is as bad as my taste in hazy beer.NP Stormy $0.15/oz (@10.99/6pk)
ON M-43 $0.23/oz (@14.99/6pk)
So no, not half the price unless you were getting it for $8.28/6pk
And while I do enjoy Stormy, I'll respectfully disagree that it is "at least as good".
TWO HEARTED 4 LYF!Apparently my math is as bad as my taste in hazy beer.
It's routinely 10-12 days old on the shelves around Detroit.hey now, I like two hearted but even 50 miles from the brewery I can't find it fresher than a month or two old.
Great, it will be nice to have a point of comparison for Transient and Old Nation.Since there's no Grand Rapids thread (what'd be the point? I think there are only three active GR posters here) and Witch's Hat was recently discussed, thought I'd add (attn: AnchorDrops, GRDave) that Witch's Hat is going to start regular distro to Grand Rapids this week. No further details available yet.
Speaking of which... Transient hops are my most overrated beers in MI. Not been overly impressed by the few I've had.Great, it will be nice to have a point of comparison for Transient and Old Nation.
Thought Cromulent was good and Obligatory better. Haven't had that Juicy one yet and Buckley was a let down for me.Speaking of which... Transient hops are my most overrated beers in MI. Not been overly impressed by the few I've had.
Obligatory has consistently been my favorite. I felt like Buckley Light was actually better than Buckley. Waiting to crack my bottle of Bad Hombre. Their farmhouse/saison have been consistently good.Thought Cromulent was good and Obligatory better. Haven't had that Juicy one yet and Buckley was a let down for me.
Ah, I know the guy that submitted the proposal. I hope it works out, looks like a solid itinerary. Also, I don't know if anybody here still uses Ratebeer, but their Summer Gathering vote opened a few days ago and closes this weekend, and one of the two options is SW Michigan. Decidedly more convenient for folks here than Boise. And it'd be the first thing in MI since RBSG 2010 in Grand Rapids (which was awesome).

Or "The Michigan Thread: Ex Pats Keep Out!"Mods: time to change the thread title to say "The Metro Detroit Thread: West Michiganders Keep out, That goes double for Ohioans and Yoopers."

Seems silly for me to start a new thread when there are only 3 of us on the best side.
Last two batches of Juice is Loose have been subpar, if you want da haze.Speaking of which... Transient hops are my most overrated beers in MI. Not been overly impressed by the few I've had.
I'll throw my two cents into the M43 hat. I like it, better than Juice is Loose, but it gets old fast. For me, any of these hazy beers are one and done. Stormy, I can drink all night. Has all the juiciness of the hazy beers, but isn't heavy and chalky.
Agree that Stormy is much easier to consume multiples of in a session. Sadly, it was a January-March seasonal and will not be returning immediately. Props to North Peak for finally putting out an unexpectedly solid offering.I'll throw my two cents into the M43 hat. I like it, better than Juice is Loose, but it gets old fast. Just finished a can at the shop. Love it! So crispy.Get yourself some Blackrocks Lager Rhythm. Terrific stuff.
This, Presque, Nordskye...they're killing it with the hops.Just finished a can at the shop. Love it! So crispy.
Agreed, haven't met a beer(hoppy ot otherwise) I didn't enjoy. Need Nordskye year round for sure. This, Presque, Nordskye...they're killing it with the hops.
Love Nordsyke. Picked up a couple cans of Barbaric Yawp. Haven't had by yet, but had it in bomber form a couple years ago. Loved it too. Haven't had a beer I didn't like from Blackrocks.Agreed, haven't met a beer(hoppy ot otherwise) I didn't enjoy. Need Nordskye year round for sure.
