The I did it again thread

So I'm brewing today, everything is going good, just waiting patiently watching some tv while I'm mashing.

30 minutes left- I'll have a home brew

20 minutes left- Let's see what else is on TV.

15 minutes left- ok, I'll stir it a little cause I'm getting impatient and need something to do.

10 minutes left.... 5 minutes.....

Finally! Now I'll just pour my sparge water on and.... DANG IT!!!! I did it again!!!

For at least the 3rd time in recent months I forgot to heat sparge water while mashing. Not a huge deal, just adds some extra time to my brew day to heat some up real quick. It got me wondering though, anyone else have any regular brew day blunders/bloopers they've been doing, or maybe forgetting to do on brew day?

My brew days are pretty routine, don't ever have too many issues.

Now, in your case, assuming you were batch sparging and not fly sparging, I would have said "F-it! Let try a sparge with cold water and see what happens."
