His "review" of the sam adams longshot IIPA made me giggle.

This is some funny stuff

Although he sees it as a bad thing, he is able to to accurately pick out the (most likely correct) grapefruit of the Hops being used and accurately describe the beer. Just in terms that make it seem negative. Where we could maybe do the same review with joy as apposed to regret:)

I also say Revvy or LGI. Either way it is a match made in heaven.

One has to admit though, that the guy is actually spending money on beers that we know he won't like. That is more than I can really say for myself. At least I can aim for a style that I think I would like and kinda stick to that for a while, before moving on to another.

What would be his first beer if he brewed? I nominate an English Mild and then a pale ale and then an IPA and then a IIPA. Slow on the hops you know. Then test the waters of Belgians, and such

What I would like to set up, is a web show like his, but with several people. Kind of like the Sunday Session in a sit around and BS kind of thing, but with serious (well, not really) beer tasting sessions. Nothing official, but you know after a while the comments will start coming out. I just doubt I could be as creative as I think this kind of thing needs to be entertaining.

But it could be educational AND fun to try. Too bad I'm the only person I know around here who drinks real beer. I know a guy who would totally do that, but he lives in Manchester, MI. You know I can't up and drive to his house even once a month to sit around getting drunk and recording it.

I reckon an APA would be a good starting point for him. Keep him away from Barley Wine until he takes those guns down from his wall though. ;)

He is entertaining and educational. I learned something. For beers with sediment you should gently roll them in your hands first to "Stir the schtuff up"

He had some classic comments that I was envisioning on a score sheet. It would be a riot to find comments like these.

" It's not bad, it's just not a freakin beer"

As to the hops "I think he put too much in there"

"It tastes like butterdirt"

And the closing comment "It's just f**ked up"

Wow, this is pretty entertaining. I thought he was actually going to barf for a second. Guess hes not used to stuff other than coors or bud.

This guy gives rednecks their bad name. I have a little redneck in me, but my buddy is a complete redneck and the guy still loves a good beer, esp my homebrew. I mean he loves his Coors and his bud, but when I go to his house I always bring some homebrew or some micros.

Watching this is like watching my girlfriend drink a really hoped up IPA, just kinda funny but a waste of good beer.

Just check out the look on his face when he tries it!

Trying that IPA was kind of like this for him...

"... I'm starting to choke back a little bit... this is starting to curl up on me..."

About 27 "dudes".

He is golden. Every time I see him try to take a long nasal drag off the bottle I guffaw. He does that every review.

He gave it a 2.0. "The taste is horrible, but the bottle is kinda appealing".

I think it is great he is trying all these different beers, but he should not be recording it and posting it for millions to see. He is not good at reviewing different beer styles!

Some day he will be a beer snob and look back on these reveiws (which will exist forever) and groan.

Maybe.

Ok probably not. But maybe.

That would be awesome. He'd never live it down.

I love the color judging of the beer while it's still in the bottle. I bet this guy smells the cork when he drinks wine too.

I still think some of the best quotes comes from his Optimator review

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zZjxbBos_k]YouTube - Opitimator Spaten Munich Beer review[/ame]

"This has some great roasted hops"

"1397.... that is older than dirt"

"if this bottle was refridgerated for 600 years it would probably be pretty nasty."

"wow! that smells dark"

Just skip to 3:00, that's where the magic begins. My favorite quote: "The hops are pretty stout."

I love him.

I'm not too sure about this guy. He seems willing to try new things, but damn. I keep wishing he'd just do a little research before blabbing on about something which he's obviously not familiar (Oh crap, I do that too... but not in an obnoxious way, I promise!).

Not a guy I'd share a beer with, since he seems such a meathead. Whenever I watch one of his vids, I get this image of John Belushi running past with a keg under one arm and pair of panties on his head.

Each of his reviews run for over five minutes, but he rarely, rarely has anything to say about the beer itself, other than, 'Dude, that sucks!' or 'Dude, that's awesome!'.

Anyone wanna pitch in and buy this guy a thesaurus?
