I used to be a liiiitle bit like this, not in the liking of coor's but in not knowing much about beers or homebrew. I just knew that if something was produced on a large scale then I probably wouldn't like it. Here's an iReport I did over a year ago when Bud got bought out. I was a little drunk if memory serves and apparently baffled by what I was talking about.

Funny story: CNN called me up and wanted to use this on air. All I thought was: am I really the best that they could put on the air?

So I guess I'll give the guy some credit for not caring what people think. And I subscribed to his channel.

Is bigger really better? Micro brews thrive without expansion - iReport.com

Darn!! I was so looking forward to ripping the piss!!!! There was nothing wrong with that iReport damn you!!

Please post something that i can ridicule you in public for. Would that be too much to ask?

Is that the Ghostbusters Ghost Trap sitting on his desk in the DGA review? He might be a ghostbuster!!

I have to go back and watch these videos again and see if I can catch a glimpse of a proton accelerator stashed somewhere around his bunker. If so, I might have to rethink my entire assessment of this dude.

F*cking hilarious! He's not a Ghostbuster though. Those guys were cool. I'm guessing this guy is a bouncer at Talledega Motor Speedway or something. Maybe he a professional paintball player. Use your imagination!

He's got a video where he replies to the comments he gets and he's just like, "I make these videos for the people on the message board I read. I'm just some guy reviewing things for my friends."

He knows jack ****, but whatever. It is for his friends.

His reviews are pretty entertaining. Kudos for trying new beers. Booh's for his palate LOL.

But really c'mom, anyone who is basing their beer drinking decisions on reviews from the Nuke show, and a guy with automatic weapons on his wall probably isn't very serious about their beer anyway.

He may well be one of beers foremost experts on the different aromas of co2 emminating from beer bottles. :ban:

He smells the beer from the bottle, not the glass lol.

But yeah, Dead Guy is pretty terrible.

I wouldn't say it is terrible! I also feel that many people in the craft beer world do not like it simply due to the fact that it is a very popular and well known beer that you can find pretty easily.

I do not enjoy it, it's too sweet. To be fair I don't like many of Rogues beers, they are very creative but their water and pacman yeast seem to only work with dark beers. I will drink their stouts all day long, but Double Dead Guy was the worste $10 I ever spent.

I also drink Coors Original, so being popular and well known carries no impact with me.

I just e-mailed a request to him to either review Blatz or Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. This should be awesome.

Should be interesting! you should have invited him over to reply in this thread. :)

As far as i can tell so far, he does not like malt OR hops. Maybe he should do whisky reviews?

I talked about HBT in the e-mail a little bit. I'll give him more info if he replies.

Whiskey reviews. I can just imagine:

"Wow, this tastes like....... Jack Daniel's or something."

This is hilarious. I love watching BMC drinkers try IIPA's. I do this to my friends just so I can see them make that face. :rockin:

I don't think I've seen a bigger bitter beer face! Anyone here tried that Longshot to know if it's a sweet or hoppy IIPA? At least from the vids I've seen, he likes a "pale ale" (his term for a light lager, as real pale ales he seems to not like)....he says he doesn't like dark beers, but then he seems to like the stouts. It seems like he just doesn't like overly sweet or hoppy beers...or yet at least. With all his youtube vids, before you know it, I think this guy will turn utter beer snob:D

I gave him kudos on many of his vids. His reviews are not the most technical, but he sure is honest about what he likes and doesn't, and that is refreshing. I tried leaving some positive feedback for him about how to handle, serve, and enjoy different styles. Hopefully he'll take it as help and not bashing.

The face from the IIPA was just priceless.

That's why I think he should come here and look around a bit. :) He likes beer (Kinda) and is keen to try new stuff. He is no different from many of us. I think he can be talked over to the dark side of homebrewing. ;)

I think this guy is really cool. Most people can't handle trying things they don't like with an open mind. I give him tons of credit for trying all these beers that are outside of his normal drinking palate. If he keeps it up he will become a bonified beer nerd.

I like his honesty and how he keeps a fun tone to his shows.

Good for you Nuke Beer drinking guy! :mug:
