I was just wondering how is this product and can I use it on a stainless steel conical fermenter? I'm not sure what temp. Controller to buy I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money on one but I'd like a reliable one. Thanks

I just got one and have a Speidel with a thermowell and I used the inkbird 308. Worked excelllent brought my beer up to 80 over the course of 2 degrees everyday. Need to invest in some reflextic but I improvised with a flannel jacket wrapped over the wrap to help heat it and keep heat in as well.

I use a SS Brewbucket and a fermwrap with inkbird controller currently and it works well. It depends on the temp. diferential between ambient and your target. It is good for about 20 degrees f that it can deal for me.

I live in PA so my basement was down around 58-60 degrees winter months, in the summer months it stays around 65-68ish.

I was looking at those ink-birds and people said they were hard to set up and dial in. I wouldn't know because I never had one before.
