The Spousal Unit and I finally gave the Battle Road Brew House in the Maynard mills a try today - and had a great time.
Sat at the bah and tried a flight of various brews, all of them pretty good, then tucked into some pulled pork and burnt ends with all the trimmings. Bonus, our charming bar maid turned out to be a high school classmate of our oldest son, which kept the wife entertained while I dug into the brews.

[Aside: their IPA is the first beer I've ever had with Azacca hops - quite distinctive even while surrounded by Mosaic, Centennial, Columbus and Citra - all of which I could identify. Not sure I'd use Azacca myself but it was another check on the experience list.]

Anyway, great food and pretty good brews with a classic down-town mill atmosphere should work. I'm hopeful they'll make a solid go of it...

Came so close to catching my white whale I've been hunting for years. Mott the Lesser. Last two years I've hit Tributary when they said it was still on draft and failed. Almost sad to finally catch it.

Eating at Duckfat and I tell everyone we have to hit Novare Res. I doubt it but it's been on their anniversary menu for days.
