Do you have a date in mind for Masstoberfest? The last weekend in September would be perfect (there's a beer fest/5k race I'm thinking of going down for on Sunday the 28th).

I just put in a schedule request for September 26 and 27 off. I'm thinking that Masstoberfest will be held on September 27th. Details and a dedicated thread to follow but you guys know the drill. Come, brew, eat, drink, fib, lie, point fingers and make fun of Cape. A great way to spend a day. This year there will be pizza added to the menu. And, of course, that most coveted trophy in home brewing, the Masstoberfest Cup, will be awarded to the one most likely to take care of it and bring it back next year.

Sure Rick. I keep forgetting. Your "job." Do you do better if we have you bring two orders of five pizzas or ten at once?

Why don't you go and get a real job, ferchristsakes? 30 years as a pizza delivery boy has to be a record of some sort. Not exactly the sort of record you brag about, it's like winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics but still, it is your record and no-one can take it away from you.

Make sure to post the thread so some of us can find it.

I think that the Masstoberfest Cup would look pretty spiffy standing in a corner of The Sluice Room. God knows it would dress the place up. And give your brewery some much needed cred. Hmmmmmmmm.

I think it would be an epic test of our mill.

Masstoberfest thread is up in Local Gatherings. Be here or we'll laugh at youi

I'm talking to you, Mr FrozenAzIPA.

I already won my flimsy trophy for the year....

Built a fired pit today. Between the trip to the store, excavation, leveling, and placement; took me about 34 minutes total. And it's actually level. PTN, have Cape translate what level means since you don't really know...

Hey all, I know this is the Masstoberfest thread, but as i was just checking emails, I don't know why I wanted to open up this tab and write this. Two of my kids are having surgery today. My oldest is having his spleen taken out, because they don't know what's wrong with him. He's been in the hospital for 2 weeks with symptoms they can't put together and have a clear diagnosis. His enlarged spleen seems to be the issue. Not 100%. That has been unbelievable in itself. He's at one of the best hospitals in the world and they just can't figure it out.

My 8yo has SVT. Well, we thought. His heart rate jumped to 250-60 BPM last evening. Normal is 90. I guess it's not SVT, but some other issue with his heart. We took him to Childrens hospital ER. They kept him over night and are doing a procedure to hopefully shock his heart back into rhythm. I got in late last night and I'm heading over there soon. This isn't really my style talking about my personal life on a forum, but I just felt like writing this. Thanks

Thanks for the kind words everybody and sorry for being such a buzzkill in this informative, educational and inspirational thread. Both kids are good right now. My 8yo's heart rate has been stable and he should come home today. He will need a procedure done next month to repair some issues in his heart, but should be 100% once it's done. He's on beta blockers right now. I'm heading over to see my oldest son. His surgery went well yesterday, but hurting right now. He's doing a lot of sleeping at the moment. His spleen was 4 pounds when it was taken out. Normal is 6 or 7 ounces. Hopefully this was the reason for all of his symptoms over the last 4 weeks.

I don't care what people say, you Massholes are ok. Please go back to Helping your fellow man.
