The day has finally arrived...first taste..

I have been very patient and waited to taste my first home brew...

mmmmmmm.

Brewed a Brewers Best American Pale Ale on 12/29. It has been in bottles for a full 3 weeks. Tastes great.

Now I cannot wait for the other brews to be ready to drink.

I have an All Amarillo IPA (from the recipe section of the forum) that has been bottled for a week.

An amber Ale recipe that I made up ready to bottle next week

And an Orange Blossom Special (from the recipe section also) that has been chugging away in the fermenter for a week.

I am trying to figure out what to brew next Saturday.

I love this place... thanks everyone for making my first brew a success.

I have a feeling this first batch may go pretty quick.

I just cracked the second one. The first one tasted like more.

My first brew is the SAME. Can i ask a few questions? What temp was your wort when you pitched? What what your ambient temperature where you kept your brew for fermenting? How long before you primed and bottled? My brew to 48 hours to show signs of fermentation, how long did yours take? Did you do a secondary fermentation?

Pitched at 72...

Temp was low 60's. Stick on thermometer showed about 64 for most if the ferment' but at the end it went to about 61...

Two weeks in primary, 1.5 weeks in secondary, then3 weeks in the bottle. Definitely worth the wait.

The only reason I racked it to the secondary was to be able to brew another batch. I solved that problem by buying another fermenter.
