Just ask your trustee to grab one of each non CR beer for you?
All my trustees have to do is send me a note and I'll get what I can for them. Picked up enough Origins batch 3 to get all the people who I trustee for what the wanted. Did the same for Batch 60 for those that asked.

I definitely hear you. Even as a local (ish - Colorado Springs) I kind of lucked into some Batch 60 and had written it off because what did get distributed locally was out of most stores pretty quickly.

From my perspective it seems like they are trying to keep some of their "special" releases local so that people don't only see the year round beers. Most of the stuff like Batch 60 is pretty limited to begin with so even selling 1 per member would seriously cut into the already small amount they are able to sell locally.

I agree. there's a lot of locals that aren't members that want to be able to get the sours, so that's probably why they keep it to distribution only.

Also, I think we may be better off for CS releases here in the springs. I have been able to find b60 and standard l'brett 2+ months after they have released to other stores. Seriously check out cheers. I am not a big fan of the selection but it seems like they get every CS special release and no one that shops there knows what it is.

Nice. I actually work really close to Weber st. and that is where I got Batch 60. They actually still have origins 2014 on the shelf (probably at least a case). The only thing is that it always takes a couple of extra days (weeks) to make it down and for my own health I try not to stop at the store every week like I used to.

Yeah I stop at weber once every few weeks on my way home from work. I like that stuff hangs around there longer than it does at other places. Just grabbed a couple origins there yesterday

Wha? I picked up the Avery sour and a ghost face killah to send to the bartender at B.Nektar because I promised him one last week. What time were you there?

I had to run all over Nor-Cal this week to get Cranberry Vielle, bourbon nightmare and batch 60. CS doesn't regularly distro to VT and isn't in NH at all so yes I'm a little butthurt that we can't even order as in pay for 1 of each. As a ticker, I want to try them all and it's frustrating that Chad doesn't let us buy nationally distributed releases.

I'd buy 12 bottles of St. Bretta if they allowed it. I loved that beer. seems like this is also an unpopular opinion as locals think it's great that CR members don't get everything.

I still get butthurt every time Chad releases a beer w/o selling at least 1 bottle per person on the website. I never had NoB 2014 or Batch 60 because CR doesn't distribute here and I don't really trade anymore. Like Saison Rue and other Bruery beers, why don't they just put everything for sale on their site for members?

You have a built in buyers group of 400+ people that you can sell to w/o retailers marking up the beers and you choose to ship the beer out.

So you did or didn't have batch 60? Looks like you bought some. Last year you complained about the same ****. A good trustee will solve the problem. Reach out to them.

So, origins was first

Classic origins, delicious. Leather, oak, cherries/dark fruits and sour

Next was raspberry origins

Raspberry really came through on this one. Raspberry up front but all the things I love about origins are still present in the background...leather, other dark fruits, sour but less so than origins. Became borderline jammy as it warmed, can't wait to see how this one develops over time.

Last was blackberry dark origins. This one I was looking forward to most.

This one was a totally different beast from the other two. So much blackberry, a bit of vanilla/oaky sweetness from the whiskey barrels, and a juicy sourness that was different from the other two. The other dark fruits and leather are pretty much mute, it's just sour as ****.

I'm probably in the minority liking raspberry the best from what I've heard so far, but it retained those qualities of origins that I love the best while introducing the raspberry in a great way. Blackberry was great, just different.

I haven't had cherry yet, but for me it goes...

1. Raspberry Origins
2. Blackberry Dark Origins
3. Lbrett Dor grand cru

Damn that raspberry origins is tasty. My favorite CS beer so far. I even liked it better than raspberry dark origins.

Hi all, I was wondering if there is anywhere online that I might be able to find price info for previous CS/CR releases?

This information would be very helpful for me as I am working on setting up some $4$ trades involving various CS bottles. Maybe someone kept a record of their personal purchases that they could share with me?

Looking for price info on the bottles listed here: http://www.talkbeer.com/community/t...w-allagash-375s-bissell-bros-lots-more.12159/

Any information is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Everything this year - $15/bottle (12.75 after discount)
Everything last year - $12/bottle (10.20 after discount)

Seems silly to use the "retail" price because the only way to purchase them is if you are a member and get the discount but figured I would put up both numbers for clarity.

There are a couple on your list that were not part of the membership (Zekes, Ferus Fluxus...) but those all hover around the same range ($10-15).

Final edit: Sentience was the first year and they were $8.80 :)

Awesome, thank you! Appreciate the info.

i opened raspberry and blackberry tonight. raspberry is fantastic. super jammy, perfect. i'm not a huge fan of origins as a base, it's a good beer but not my favorite. this is the best version of origins i've had. blackberry is less aggressively sour than raspberry dark so that's good. it's quite jammy as well, and very good. it is very acidic but not quite as enamel stripping and stomach wrecking as raspberry dark.

i rank them 1. raspberry 2. l'brett grand cru 3. blackberry with the expectation that with some age l'brett will be the best of the bunch. i'm gonna hold off on opening a cherry for a bit though.

i'm totally satisfied with this batch of beers and the next batch sounds like it's going to be way better.

I need a bottle of Dark Blackberry as a replacement for a bottle that got broken in transit. If anyone has one, please send me a PM and we can work something out. Thanks!

Anyone else have their last order disappear from their order history?

Only me hopefully. First time that has happened but I still have the confirm email. I'll just order again and let them cancel if needed.
