We stopped by Cerberus and the wife and I split and IPA flight. I really like the Atremius Huell Melon beer. The other 4 were all hazy, only Elyesium had the juicy flavors, the others were good, but should have been clear. We grabbed some crowlers. Will probably hit that again on the way South.

Tomorrow is Falling Rock before the Broncos game.

Nice to have some good IPAs again. Houston is really sucking in homegrown good IPA.

Anyone make it to the S26 Black Friday event? Personally I think that's not great timing for a BA stout tasting, but I still ordered bottles online, which I'll grab later this week. Curious to hear any opinions on the Dark Stars. Seems like Untapped reviews are from the same 3 people.

Didn't get any myself but saw some people posting the last couple days and they were drain pouring the Almond Joy one. Didn't seem like favorable reviews going around yet.

FYI, I thought batch 1 (only ones I've ever bought) were really hot right off the bat and needed to sit a while. still have a couple bottles

That's unfortunate. Off flavors on the AJ? I'll have to try that one first.

Someone said suntan lotion on that one. I decided to skip them this year, and kind of glad I did. Tried some of the weird variants like Manhattan last year on tap, and wasn't that impressed.

I just got a few base beers and AJ. I guess making good IPA's doesn't equal making good stouts, unless you are WW.

So the Dark Star base beer is fantastic. Wish I could have gotten a few more. Right there with this year’s BCBS. The Almond Joy is definitely way too much in the adjunct department. Cloying sweetness. Somebody just decided to empty all the nuts in there. I wouldn’t call it a drainpour but I can see where others would. 6-8oz is about all I can handle. Next year dial that **** back, or stick with one adjunct.

Last year's Stargates (Peach, Plum and Pulot?) were great. I think the blending of what was originally intended to be 2 different beers is an interesting move. But I trust their judgement, I have had nothing but excellent beers from them.

Awesome to hear! I'd heard positive things about them overall but hadn't heard much about Stargate.

Also ISO: proxy pickup for Black Project (only one bottle.) Would exchange the favor from out this way with a GPIUFMB.

What's the pick up window? I can swing it if you throw a label my way.
