Any locals want to fill me in on why CS moved to bottling Nightmare on Brett (and maybe others) in 750s? Seems like a lot of expensive heartburn.

Too many shops had 20+ 375ml bottles. Had to find some other breweries to steal shelf space from to turd up. Especially at 28.99.

Now with cans too.

Cans come out Friday!!!

They come out on Friday??;)

I think I saw that they will be ~$12.99/4 pack.

*crawls back under rock*

It is tasty.

However it started as a collaborative thing with Casey and he basically hijacked it.

It's going to be the only good can available.

I'm no fan of CS these days, but not really a hijacking. From Troy on FB:

Official statement: the original brew turned out so well, I told Chad he should drop our name and re brand the beer to get away from the idea of Von Miller. He was probably thinking the same thing but wanted to keep the name Von Pilsner as it means The Pilsner in some language apparently. I'm super excited to see the beer out there and hope they continue to make it.

No ill will on our end. Happy to see him grow the idea.

Never saw that. Thanks for sharing.

I still stand by that Chad would not make this good of a beer without troy.

I also don't mind. My watering hole does $2 pints of Von Pils during Donkeys games.

Rayback in Boulder (food truck park) had Von Pilsner on for weeks. I don't know if the haze turned off the non-beer geeks there (I doubt it because Juicy Bits and Superfan usually kick in a day), but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Also I picked up a 4pk of Hop Savant last night, and I was absolutely not impressed. I don't know the hop variant they use, but it was a bitter disappointment.

Hop Savant tastes like it's from the ipa bitter wars of 2009. Not that I liked ipas then, but I couldn't finish a can even for alcohol chugging purposes.

And st bretta is a mess of herbs and flowers, tastes like I'm walking into one of those ****** stores that sell trinkets in tourist towns.

Anyone have any insight on the Roswell release that Black Project is doing? I have a buddy in the area who's thinking of going, but he's never been to a release there and has no idea what to expect.

If you aren't an "Agent" (their reserve society) apparently you aren't even guaranteed the ability to buy all five bottled. They can easily turn into a **** show.

I am thinking they will do it like all other releases. They will give each person 5 "tickets" until they are out of tickets. Then in order of line those people can exchange those tickets for whichever beers they would like.

This will be a fun one to follow on Facebook.

O/U on first person in line is set at 12:15am. O/U on chug videos posted to DBT is set at 2.5. O/U on first complaint of line cutting in either DBT or CLTCB set at 8:45am. O/U on people being banned or flaming out of DBT is set at .5
