Pile - Green and Gray. Came out a couple of weeks ago. Will remain at the top of my 2019 albums list for a few more days at least until the new Amyl and the Sniffers album arrives. Very good post-punk/indie-ish album that manages to deliver on both the aggressive and slower songs.

Sometimes we buy albums because we've heard them and they're amazing. Sometimes we buy albums sounds unheard because we trust the band. Sometimes we buy albums because beer, lots of beer....and whiskey. And sometimes....sometimes a psychobilly supergroup forms themed around campy Adam West era Batman sensibilities and we're powerless to resist.

I had a feeling you'd be on board with me on this one.

It's available through their bandcamp and Cleopatra records. Fair warning, I had some skipping issues, though I've been putting off giving my turntable a thorough checkup and calibration so I can't chalk it up to the record yet. I plan on giving it an inspection and another go this weekend when I've got some time. Worth noting, the vinyl edition has five less tracks than the cd/digital editions, so worth checking it out on Spotify regardless.

I was speaking from memory, looking closer it looks like there are eight additional tracks on other formats, not five. The Tainted Love cover is on the vinyl, the others are not. From what I remember of a quick, tired listen, the cover of Danzig's Mother was one of the higher points for me, so that would have been nice to have on there. Don't get me wrong though, while I would have preferred paying a bit more for a double LP with a d-side etching or something, I'm just happy that this is a thing that exists.
