Been meaning to pick this one up for a while. Glad I finally did. Near flawless pressing.

Very jealous.

Edit: of the record. Beers are beers.

sometimes I have no idea what everyone posts since I don't recognize the cover or the artist's name is missing or covered.

that being said, I, obviously, have no idea what this record is.

While not my favorite tribute album (that would probably be Dynamite With a Laserbeam or possibly All Apologies, a Japanese tribute to Nirvana that has a pop punk version of Teen Spirit), this album definitely has it's highlights amid the weird. Honestly, worth a listen just to hear NoMeansNo do an a cappella version Forward to Death.

This album was actually the first time I ever heard NoMeansNo, so I had a bit of a misconception about what kind of band they were for a long time.

What can I say, I'm an *******.

I probably ask you this fairly often when you post because I have such a genuine interest in the breweries around you....

...how’s that beer?

I always thought that the NoMeansNo collab with Jello was my introduction to them. But now that you mention this...I am almost certainly heard this first. And apparently promptly forgot that song existed.

It's probably the second or third best IPA I've had from them. Their last couple releases, this and Kilo M, are a bit sweeter than I would like, but I prefer that to the heavy bloating feel that comes from similarly hopped IPAs using the current craze hops. Single hop galaxy, so...at the end of the day your opinion on that hop will probably dictate your opinion on this beer.

I'm realizing I have more IPAs than I thought that I should try to drink before next weekend when I'm back in Boston loading up on Trillium, Lamplighter, Night Shift, etc. I need more records... Anyway, this album...for better or worse Audioslave, like A Perfect Circle, is a band that will forever be strongly linked to my college years in my memory. Would rather be listening to the self titled but at the prices it sells for I'll probably never own it.

I might be in Boston on Friday. Trillium, Nigh Shift, Jack's Abby. Never been to Lamplighter or had their stuff.

I'd put Lamplighter below Trillium and above Night Shift for IPAs, they've done some great stuff with galaxy in particular. In addition to them, I'd recommend Bone up, Mystic, and Idle Hands next time you find yourself with time to brewery hop. If you do find yourself in the area on Friday and want to grab a beer let me know.

Bone Up is never open when I'm at Night Shift. I tend to go during the week, though, since I work in retail and that's when I tend to be off. I'd be happy to get together if it works, I tend to go in the afternoon to try and get out of Boston before the traffic gets too bad. It's a plan that usually doesn't work.

Yesterday my FIL gave me 2 huge boxes of records that belonged to his brother. Some of the stuff is not my speed, but there was some real gems in there.
Even though I only met my wife’s uncle a couple of times, I feel a real connection to him now after digging through his collection. It really got me thinking about where my records might end up one day.

One of my tables has been sounding wonky lately so I started using my other table. That table started acting up yesterday so I assumed it was my speakers that were messed up. I have 4 speakers from the 60's that have been rewired and recapped who knows how many times. Just spent an hour taking them all apart and redoing all the connections. Plug it all back up and it sounds exactly the same. Decide to just start fresh and zero out my tone arm and realign the cartridge. Table one sounds fine now. I need a ******* beer.

Wonky how? My table was sound warbly with some speed changes. I assumed it was the belt and replaced it but that sound is back. Not really sure where to go from there.

Sound kept cutting in and out and the right channel was quieter then the left. Must have just gone out of alignment and the stylus wasn't getting all the info in the groove.

What kind of noise? These alignment tools are pretty cheap on Amazon. I'd at least start with making sure it's all squared up properly and maybe get a stylus scale and make sure the tracking force is right. Not sure if the table you got is brand new but they're usually off out of the box.
