Gonna go ahead and put this in my top five thus far for the year. Side B is addictive as ****.

Sacred Bones knows how to pick em.

That's great, but I'm still waiting on the drunken diatribe for this one. I have more albums queued up to listen to than time right now, convince me to move this up my list.

Feel like it’s leftovers night or something since I’m revisiting stuff....

This one is growing on me. Really accessible, but at the same time there are shades of captain beefheart littered throughout. And I like it.

(Ambrose from KG’s side project The Murlocs. Found out this week that he was almost also a pro-skater, but “gave it up” for music)

Anyone purchase reasonable bins and label cards recently. I have finally acquired enough records that I can’t easily locate a specific record on my shelf in a quick eye scan.

Records are currently stored on an Ikea Bookshelf with a short rotation stack next to the record player and I am looking to either repurpose a storage bin I have (it would need some modifications to not damage the records, but reduce, reuse, recycle) get an appropriate sized set of milk crate type bins or a similar sized wood crate that can be kept closer to the player. And then alpha dividers, which seem pricier than bins, but if got custom or blank ones I can label myself I think I will need fewer than doing the whole alphabet. And I don’t have a variety of genres so that’s not helpful.

Anyway here seemed like the right place to see what others are using.

Record storage is the bane of my existence, though these days there are a variety of options. My stereo and records are in our living room, so we splurged on nicer urbangreen cabinets. They go on sale on wayfair occasionally but are not cheap, but are among the cheapest for record cabinets that are regular furniture and not particleboard. Don’t ask me about organization. I routinely lose records for months at a time within my collection.

Ours are in our dining room. My collection is sitting just under 100, so I need 2 bins that hold 75 right now if I want organizers. I put my 45s in a very attractive cardboard box that totally does not look like garbage.

After looking at a bunch of different options, trickytunadicky and I decided to go with a set of 4 "S-Crates".
With shipping (and coupon code!) it worked out to be $61.09.

Drunken discogs purch? I awoke to an email confirmation of natural born killers soundtrack on red vinyl, coming from Netherlands.

Thankfully I’ve yet to make any drunken discogs purchases. Last night I drunkenly added about 50 things to my “wantlist” most of which are outside of my price range.

At the height of my old collection it traveled through college in this mode... probably about 10 to 15 of them or so; however, mine all said "Hood" or "Sealtest" on the side..:p:p... I think the cost was $0 ..:D:p
Much like tap handles and kegs real milk crates are loaned with a deposit. Several states have laws that it’s illegal not to return them.

So we bought ones that are the correct size and in the color of our choice direct from a manufacturer.
