What you guys/gals doing for Thanksgiving??? Believe im going to my parents house for the day then in the evening going to the fiances families house to end the day. Probably going to bring a few Sierra Harvest with me. Maybe bring some of our Nut Brown Ale or IPA for people to try. We will see....

How about the rest of ya ?

Have a great Thanksgiving

I'm hosting this year (like every year), and have a decent assortment. I'll probably stick with Smuttynose Porter, but I've got a 12 pack each of Smithwicks, Guinness, Pete's Wicked Ale, Long Trail Pale Ale, a few Sam Smiths, and Amstel Light for the ladies.
Happy Thanksgiving All!

Brewing in the morning, football, delicious food and drink, nap, then more football. Throw some sex in there and it might be the best day of my life.

My nearby beer store does not have Harvest and said they couldn't get it or find it. This place seems to have nearly every other kind of beer. Since it's seasonal, I'm wondering if I'm SOL this year. I've very much wanted to try it since I first heard about it.

In consolation, I bought some Sierra Celebration and tried it last night. LOVE IT! I'll probably bring that and some IIPA I have saved in the fridge to the in-laws where we will have Turkey and everything, pies, football, and playing on our old cars. Good times.

Got the following options in the homebrew field: Extra Irish Stout, Hefeweizen, French Farmhouse, Ed's Haus Pale Ale. Bottled a Dark Mild last night but obviously not ready by tomorow.

Only problem is we're going to the in-laws and they are teetotal. Probably take a few over there but I don't like to get blotto over there. Have a couple later on back home when I'm watching the miserable Eagles.

Beer during the Lions game, wine with dinner.

Yup, Thanksgiving is a snooty wine event around here. Fancy box and everything.

:D

Having dinner with my Inlaws gonna brine and fry a turkey and drinking Ninkasi Tricerahops, Caldera IPA, Deschutes Freshhop, and Deschutes Abyss (if it comes in today).

I'll be frying up 50lbs of turkey in Phoenix at the in-laws. No clue as to why they want to cook two 25 pound birds but at least that will allow ample time to stand in front of the fryer with a cold one in hand. That being said anyone know of any good local Phoenix beers that I could get my hands on while im there?

We're heading down to Utah to visit with some friends. We stayed the night in Boise last night and are about ready to head out and get some breakfast then continue driving.

Since the selection down in Utah is so limited I've got a cooler full of supplies. 3 growlers of homebrew and a ton of other bottles. Most notably a 3 (maybe 4) year old bottle of New Glarus Raspberry Tart, can't wait to see how it aged.

I don't think we'll have a chance to hit any of the breweries here in Boise today, but maybe on the way back home.

I'll be tapping my holiday brew for the first time (imperial porter.. yes I called it IMPERIAL, Bob.. :D) and trying my first sample of my Tripel since I bottled it six weeks ago. The tripel will probably be really green, but I don't care, I just gotta try it anyway since I'm giddier than a teen with a steady gf on prom night. :cross:

Other than that I'll be eating fried turkey which somebody ELSE is making (SWMBO's friends), and drinking good wine.

So to summarize basically I'll be drinking wine and beer :drunk: while watching everyone else eat turkey. :p

Nurmey and myself will be feasting with friends and enjoying our Stella Artois clone and and Irish Stout. Having sampled them previously I can only say it's going to be a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Holiday everyone.

We are hosting for the first time this year. It will be my parents and SWMBO's parents along with assorted cousins, aunts/uncles and the like. About 20 of us. Even though this is our first "official" Thanksgiving, we have been doing a Thanksgiving party with our friends for the last couple of years now. So I am not worried about the food.

On tap I have an Oatmeal Stout and a beer that doesn't really have a qualification. I guess you would call it just a pale ale. Hopped similarly to an ESB, but no crystal malt, and I used American Ale yeast. So whatever that is.

On bottles I have my hefeweizen and I also have a stout and a frontier ale that have aged over a year. Those will probably be my desert.

Also, I have a six pack of SA winter ale, and one Terrapin Rye Pale Ale (soooo good).

And of course assorted wine and liquor that I will not be partaking in.

I am looking forward to it. It is going to be a blast.

As I will be working tonight 11p-7a and will be very tired for most of the day tomorrow I will have to have a few to many beers to keep me going :)

My family was invited to a neighbors house. They requested I bring homebrew. Found out today my bitter keg kicked!!! AH! Low on mild too. Plenty of old ale , oatmeal stout and a Belgian dubbel, but I do not think they are the type to enjoy those...

So, emergency carbing another keg of ordinary bitter! Hope that works. I really want to share. Seems I am always out of beer when it comes time to share. Damn. I thought I was catching up on production too. :(

Pumpkin Spice Ale, Amarillo Ale, Bourbon slushes, and Eggnog with the Captain.
Oof, my stomach is gonna pay.:cross:

Bourbon slushes

Haven't had one of those in years!!

Going to my parents' house, not sure what I'm bringing for liquid refreshment yet (see sig). My dad and I are the only ones that'll drink homebrew...my sister will try it, but my brother-in-law is too much of a Miller Lite *****. He tried my EPA once..."that stuff's too strong".

More for me. :D

Happy Thanksgiving!

In the smoker: Big Fat Ham.
On the burner: SWMBO's Favorite Porter
In the glass: SnowBLOWER Milk Stout ( Snow Plow Clone recipe v.2 ) and Redhook Winterhook ( as I am out of IPA  )

Will also be bottling Apfelwein, Racking Meads and Syrah.

I'm in Florida visiting the family. I did not not bring any homebrew but I bought some Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre and some Ommegang Abbey Ale.

15 Gallons of beer waiting to keg, not a drop bottled. Paint store purcheas of SN Celebration, Breckenridge Christmas Ale, Deschutes Jubelale, Great Divide Hibernation Ale and Paulaner Salvator. Wife and MIL doing the cooking this year, I get to relax, watch football, eat and enjoy some tasty beer!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My plan is to fly from DC to New Orleans, then back to DC and then over to Pittsburgh to spend the night. My Thanksgiving meal is compliments Republic Airways and Gate Gourmet... yum!

Happy T-day to all, and to all a good night!
