Does the fact that a beer is carbonated change the FG readings in a hydrometer, and if so, is it drastic or minor? I am hoping that it does, just need some opinions here. Forgot to check the FG of my last brew before bottleing. :drunk:

Just degas a small sample and take a reading. No worries.

carbonated beer cannot be accuratley measured

take 4oz, let it go flat, then test... You shouldn't be bottling or kegging unless you know the final gravity.

It had spent 4 months in the secondary so I was pretty sure it was done. I was just overcome with excitement on bottleing day.
