I have my first beer bottled, but stuck on where I should leave them.

At what temperature and how long should I store a larger beer and Ale beer.

I generally keep mine in my basement. The important thing is to keep them relatively cool (<70F), and in an area where the temperature doesn't fluctuate too much. Once they've carbonated, you can store them even cooler. The cooler the better IMHO.
 
But just to be clear, for two to three weeks after bottling they need to be around 70, i.e. not refrigerated. You are depending on the yeast to eat the priming sugar to carbonate, so it has to be warm enough for them to do their work. Once the desired carbonation level is reached you can and should cool them down more.
 
I keep mine in my closet. It's about 73* in my house. It seems I've most people do similarly, but that if you keep them in a cooler area it takes longer to condition.

My understanding is the general rule of thumb is 3 weeks at room temp followed by at least 3 days in the fridge. This is for a typical beer. A stronger beer would likely take longer (a week maybe?).

I recently tried 2 beer recipes intended to be quick turnaround beers (31 days) for those times when you find out there's a get together in a month. I gave them 2 weeks to ferment and 2 weeks to condition with 3 days in the fridge. Both were 5-5.2% ABV. The blonde was excellent. The honey wheat had an issue that doesn't seem to be related to the time frame.
 
I store mine at a similar temperature to what they were fermented at, that way you know they are in the yeast range
