At what temperature do you think a pbw/one-step/easy-clean solution is too hot for submerging bottles? I've taken a liking to adding a bit of boiling water when mixing up cleaning solution, but I figure it might be hard on the bottles to go from room temp to something like 130-140F. I know bottles can handle a ton of heat, but I assume the sudden temperature swing is harsh on them.

I've read that heating bottles to sanitize (sterilize) causes micro cracks and weakens the bottles, but that's different from 130 - 140. Hopefully, somebody knows this answer. I'd be interested.

Hey! Cool it guy! I mean the cleaners will work just as effectively in water that is not too hot to put your hands in.

Fair enough, maybe I should chill. It's just very satisfying to mix up some scorching hot cleaner!
