I've heard people mention the Love Controller on here. Is the general consensus that this is a reliable option? Is anything else needed with this?

I use, and would suggest, a two stage temp controller based on the STC-1000. You can easily build one yourself for about $40 including the temp control module. Do a search here or on el goog and you can find build instructions. The main downside is it displays temp in Celcius, so you'd have to get used to that. If you read about long shipping times for the STC-1000 don't be afraid...I got mine in about 2.5 weeks from Hong Kong. Do be sure to avoid the 220v model, but that's easy if you read the sellers description.
