I have a Ranco dual stage temp controller for my freezer. But for some reason it will not turn on my freezer. It reads the temp properly and I can hear the controller kick on, but my freezer's compressor does nothing. any ideas?

Did you wire it or did it come pre wired? Since it's a dual controller, are you sure you have the freezer plugged into the right cord/receptacle? Basic questions, but got to get them out of the way first.

Did you try plugging something else (like a lamp) into it to make sure the problem is not your freezer? Freezers usually have a delay built into prevent cycling the compressor too often. Did you leave it plugged in for a long enough time?
