I'm looking to add a second Corny keg to my existing setup. Are there any advantages to using a manifold (~$35 for a 2 port) vs splicing in a Tee fitting to the existing hose (~$5)?

I guess I would trust a valve (manifold) than just the grey disconnect. But having said that, I don't have a manifold on my carbing station, but do in my keezer.

I use a t fitting for my two corny setup...works just fine. I keep it at 12 psi pretty much at all times. I can have one carbing and serve on the other tap no problem.

I have a T fitting on mine. I don't have too many problems with it except when force carbing one keg while the other one is at perfect carbonation. Its just a matter of un hooking one of them for a night and letting the other carb up. Also, I think it throws the pressure regulator off for the first few days. If I had the money at the time I would rather just have a separate regulator but all in all, it has worked well for almost a year.

Actually - that's one scenario I hadn't thought of, force carbing a new keg with an existing keg already on. That makes up my mind, manifold it is. Thanks you.

I can carb one while serving the other no problem. Just put it on 12 psi for a week and you're fine. Do you really need to carb overnight w the 30 psi method. You have no idea how much carbonation you have in your beer.
