Self professed "beer snob" who finally decided to shut up, stop talking about it and start brewing. Can anyone recommend a good twelve step program for home brewers who are tad bit obsessed? I am just planing for the future.

Yes, there is a 12 step program:

Step 1: get a starter kit with an extract recipe kit. Brew a batch on your stove using the directions and sanitizer that came with the kit.

Step 2: Realize that the directions and sanitizer that came with the kit suck. Throw them out, replace them and give it another go.

Step 3: Learn that there are benefits to a full boil. Get yourself a turkey fryer and start brewing outside.

Step 4: Bottling sucks. Build yourself a kegerator and buy a bunch more equipment

Step 5: Learn about the benefits of chilling your wort rapidly prior to pitching your yeast. Buy a wort chiller.

Step 6: Yeast health; temp control, pitching rate, aeration....buy a ferm chamber, yeast starter kit and aeration kit

Step 7: All-grain transition. Buy a bunch of new gear and brew a batch with your tap water

Step 8: The batch you brewed with tap water sucks. Figure out why, fix it and brew another batch

Step 9: Treated water for chlorine/chloramine and the next batch is better. But, what is all this about mash PH and adding minerals to RO water?

Step 10: Build RO water specific to the style you are brewing and dial in your PH.

Step 11: Tired of brewing outside. Time to go electric and move back indoors. Buy some more gear and make it happen

Step 12: enjoy your homebrew :mug:
