I finished my wiring on my controller. When it can to testing the unit I pulled up the instructions for the SYL-2352 and I noticed it was way more involved than expected. Is there a thread or can someone tell me how to set up the controller in a simple fashion? I'm just looking to set the temp for turning the heater on and off at a given st point.

iijakii Thank you for your response. I think I figured it out, but would like to double check to make sure I understand it correctly. When I first set the temp I only set t for 2 degrees above the actual temperature. It didn't seem to turn the heater on constant but ever moment or so just for a few seconds. I then set it for 10 degrees above the actual temp and the unit turned on the heater for a longer duration. I'm guessing this is so it can have a better control so you do not over shoot your target temperature. I will also check out Kal's instructions. Thank you again for your help.

I have not gotten that far with the auto tune yet. I also should have thought of the controller having an algorthm. The temp controller I bought from Auberins for my BBQ smoker has one.
I'm being a mad scientist with a little different application. I'm only using a 1500 watt heater to control the mash temp in a small window from 140-160. I wanted to stick with 120v and reduce the chance of scorching the wort. Not sure if this is what anyone would want to do, but I can't resist trying something different. Thank you again for your help.
