I've been scrounging together my all grain setup. I decided last night for my boiling pot to go ahead and use the aluminum pot that came with my $29 turkey fryer, thus saving me from a major purchase.

SWMBO barely tolerates my brewing, and certainly doesn't like me spending money on it. She also has a propensity for throwing things away without checking with me first.

I go to the garage to check out the turkey frying pot after work today and, lo and behold, it's nowhere to be found.

Turns out, SWMBO threw the f'ing thing away! Boy was I pissed! But then I saw opportunity!

I parlayed her mistake into either a new ss brewpot or another ss turkey fryer with brew pot!

Hurray for SWMBO!:mug:

(PS. She also threw away my Mr. Beer, which is not a major worry to me, but I wanted to pass it on to a buddy who is getting interested in brewing.)

I just told my wife about the fryer... ha, she gasped and said "OH NO SHE DIDNT!!" oh yah, my wife knows you never touch a mans equipment... well, in some cases.

Throw away her favorite pair of shoes . . . should get your point across

This can work (might be safer just to hide them tho) I work midnights and my SWMBO likes to call home at noon on her lunch to see what I want to do when she gets out of work (about 3 am for my bio-clock) so I called her at home one 3:30 am to ask what she wanted to do when I got home.. she was not pleased... but the point was made and now I get uninterruped sleep.

In my head I'm hearing... "Oh No, She Di-int"

I... I don't...

Why would someone throw out a big stockpot? It was clearly brand new... that just doesn't make any sense...

Sure it was an "accident"? ;)

Purrty close... ha, my wife is well educated as to DADS toys... you never touch DADS toys.
