I have 2 gallons of apricot/peach cider that started in October and has been sitting in bulk since. It is spectacular. Finally got around to stabilizing with KMeta and sorbate today. Gonna let it work a few days and then bottle.

It is currently fermented totally dry at 0.990. I don't want this super sweet at all, and only want to sweeten back to about 1.000 or 1.005. Just a touch of sweetness. I'm going to sweeten with FAJC.

Can anyone tell me a ballpark for how much FAJC it'll take to get 2 gallons of cider currently at 0.990 back up to 1.000-1.005? I know I can measure and try to calculate but if anyone knows how much cider increases a gallon of cider by a certain # of points, I would be very appreciative.

You're looking for 10-15 points. I typically do the same, from 1.000 to 1.012 with FAJC and I find that about 1/2 cup per gallon gets close. I also find that it varies by brand.

I'm sure you can read the label and figure out how much sugar is in the can of juice and do the math, but IMO it's easier to just add a bit at a time, mix it in, and read the hydrometer.
