So I have 1 liter swing top bottle that I am using to practice sweetening and carbing.

It spent about 1 week in primary until 1.000, then about 1 week in secondary so far. I sweetened with xylitol until it showed 1.010 and tasted to my liking. I then added 1 tsp of cane sugar dissolved with 1 tsp of water.

Note: It had been dosed with campden tablet when I racked it into secondary about 5 days ago.

My questions are:

1. How long can this be stored once carbonated?
2. Will the carbonation stay until it's opened?
3. Is it microbially safe to store cider once sweetened and primed in a swing top bottle?
4. Should it bulk age without being sweetened and carbonated?

It will carbonate well. You can store it for years. It will stay carbonated the whole time. Yes it's safe. Bulk aging isn't necessary. Just be sure it's 100% done fermenting before you bottle, or it could gush or explode.
