Superior BM23 compressor continuous running

Title kinda explains my issue. No matter what temp setting I put it on, as soon as the compressor kicks in, it's stays on until I physical turn it to off. I turned it on the other night before bed at the highest temp setting and it was at 20 degrees in the morning (thermometer in glass of water). My thoughts are the temp controller is bad. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Know anyone with an "outboard" temp controller you can borrow, for troubleshooting purposes?

I replaced the temp controller and everything is all good. Holds steady now!
