Has anyone here tried this beer? It's an "Original Barley Wine Ale" imported from Romania. I saw it at the local asian grocery store today and picked it up (I never see good beers there, usually just BMC and everything else they own). It's brewed by S.C. Martens S.A. - Romania - Galati.

It poured to be a REALLY lightly colored barley wine. In fact, I wouldn't even consider it a barley wine in color, more like a light lager. The aroma smelled like saki (which is gross), but the taste was pretty damn good. It's 14.9% ABV.

How would one go about making a 15% light colored ale? I have no idea and that's not even a question that needs to be answered. It's just interesting to me.
