Coffee in bed while wife listens to Sasquatch Chronicles podcast this morning from her new alexa device in the bedroom.

Amazon day was kind to me with 3 new refub echo-plus. Now all rooms including the garage has an echo. Music by voice and intercom throughout the house.

AfterI motivate, I'll probably just bounce pandora/amazon from device to device just because I can.

Nothing from me last week, bad day.

Today was busy, and 100% Iron Maiden, since I'm going to see them Tuesday.

Also, holy flocc, I'm going to see Iron Maiden on Tuesday! One of the final things to check off my "must see" list.

Missed last week with the start of school prep. On Monday, I told my freshmen that when they graduate, I plan to graduate. Took until Wednesday before one of them asked if that meant that I was going to retire. That's the plan!

Listened all week to SiriusXm, who broadcast the limited edition Woodstock 50: Back to the Garden 38 CD set. Almost pulled the trigger to purchase the set when it was released, but at approx. $900 with taxes and shipping, just couldn't justify the price tag.

Today, I believe it will be out with the old and in with the new....

Dawn:
The Steel Woods - Old New (2019)
Tyler Childers - Country Squire (2019)
White Denim - Side Effects (2019)

Dusk:
Randy Rogers Band - Hellbent (2019)

Heading out to fire up the burner and the smoker. Smoked Altbier and a pair of chickens.

Samantha Fish - Runaway (2011)
Lindi Ortega - Til The Goin' Gets Gone (2017)
John Mellencamp - Uh Huh (1983)

So, I can't seem to make Alexa understand Uh Huh no matter what I do, but then she said "Here's an album you might like, Caro Emerald - The Shocking Miss Emerald-Deluxe Edition".

Forgiven, Alexa, forgiven.

Fished a bit after the rain stopped hanging with Mrs. K and my youngest and her new husband. Relaxing before the grand kids hit the lake tomorrow for the rest of the day. No music but the Loons and the wind chimes.

Late start this morning. Went to Philly last night for Flogging Molly and Social Distortion. Great show. I'll see them again next Sunday when they come to my town. Going in a completely different direction this morning:

Frank Sinatra - Duets (1993)
Frank Sinatra - Duets II (1994)
Patsy Cline - All Time Greatest Hits (1996)
James Taylor - Greatest Hits (1976)

Got an early start today, but late to the setlist party. Within the next month, I'm going to see Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton AND The Who....sounds like a nice mix!

Peter Frampton - Frampton (1974)
Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive! (1976)
Eric Clapton - E.C. Was Here (1975)
Eric Clapton - Eric Clapton (1970)
The Who - Live at Leeds (1970)
The Who - The Who By Numbers (1975)

Early start as well, whatever was last playing on pandora.

But 3gal of chili garlic paste is done prepped and sitting in a 5gal bucket beginning its probably 4-6 month journey of lacto-fermentation.
I was totally planning on pulling a batch of kraut and a batch of hot sauce out of the fermentors today, but had a vodka distraction, so nothing much was accomplished today.

Beer-To-Go Day in Texas! First day we can buy six packs, crowlers and growlers directly from craft brewers, like the other 50 states. I love lots of things about Texas, but some of our backwards laws/lawmakers make me wonder in what century they reside. Heading out with the SWMBO and the sister to hit three breweries starting at 10 a.m. I'm designated driver, but later today when we are safely home, will gladly imbibe to the sounds of the following Texas artists:

ZZ Top -Tres Hombres (1973)
Willie Nelson -Spirit (1996)
Waylon Jennings -Greatest Hits (RCA) (1979)
Vaughan Brothers -Family Style (1990)
Lou Ann Barton -Read My Lips (1989)
Old 97's -Too Far to Care (1997)

Going to see Kix, Jackyl, and Tesla on Tuesday. I'll just slap together a Pandora station for the three of them once I get back home from work today. Nothing playing this morning. Atypical.

One thing this morning:

Charlie Parker - The Complete Savoy & Dial Master Takes (2002)

This afternoon I'll start working my way through the REO Speedwagon albums in preparation for our trip to Atlantic City to see them next weekend.

Nursing a moderate hangover today from wife's bff's wedding last night. Little fuzzy but I remember ending up in a limo at a bar and ordering a tequila shot for the wedding entourage. $385 later... and my head is feeling like an all American kid from NYC. Good thing I commissioned a DD!

Still trying to figure out my morning, but starting with a calm Alina Baraz & GalImatias.

Sliding into a Sunday:

Duane Allman - An Anthology: Duane Allman (1972)
Duane Allman - Skydog: The Duane Allman Anthology (2013)
Derek & the Dominos - Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs 30th Anniversary (2000)

Moving slow this morning, little sore from installing overhead rack in the garage.

Right now I'm listening to the sound of my coffee percolating, then will be cleaning/reorganizing the garage. Echo just installed out there, think I'll try Alice in Chains on Prime.

Nothing from me today. Packed up and drove back from Atlantic City with two chatty women. The REO Speedwagon show last night was really, really good.

Moving slow this a.m. Yesterday was the first real fall day here in North Texas, sunny with temps in the 60's, and I over-extended myself with yard work, honey-do's, college football and beer. Got a tired on, but today is suppose to be beautiful again, so, time to get it in gear old man...

I'm moving slowly today too. Unplanned, Moved 3 yards of pea gravel for my inlaws yesterday by wheelbarrow.

Set list today,
Pandora squirrel nut zippers
They had a new one come out last year, surprisingly. I thought it was decent.

Also, f- pea gravel. So useful, (and cheap), but what a miserable b- to move useful quantities of. My condolences.
