So today was gonna be a great day. I was up early with that tingly feeling brew days give me, plans for my lemongrass ginger hefe in hand, ready to start grinding. This was my 2nd step mash this time for a ferulic rest at 110. Hit that with 2.75 gal. Sat for 20. Then to 152 with 2.75 gal at 178 but I came in at 140 and freaked out. I have one burner so I moved the hlt and threw the mlt on the burner and jumped up to start stirring, then horrible smell of burning reflectix from bottom of keg hit me. Opps.

Nice mishap! One time I was connecting my immersion chiller with flame still on and started to smell burnt rubber. Yup garden hose too close to flames!

Hope it turns out alright!

Make that 3 torched chiller hoses.

Small mistake that does not affect your beer in a negative way!

Brew on brother!!
