I was curious to know if anyone has tried priming a cream ale with brown sugar? I'm adding strawberries to it and my wife brought up to prime with brown sugar, not sure how it would turn out...but just seeing if anyone has any thoughts?

You can definitely do it, though I haven't personally tried priming with a darker sugar in anything that light. I imagine it won't make a huge difference in the flavor, since you're adding a relatively modest amount. Remember that the sweetness will drop out, so you'll just be left with a very slight (I imagine) rum-like flavor from the molasses (brown) part of the sugar.
