I've not seen one like this before. My IPA started at 1.062. well aerated. used S05. After a week I've not seen a single bubble in the air lock. I decided yesterday to open up and throw in another pack of yeast but when I opened it there was a big head of krausen in there. I closed it back up and left it alone but there is still no bubble action. I pressed on the lid to make sure there wasnt a leak and that seemed fine. It may be working just fine but I thought I'd ask if anyone else knows whats going on in there.

It is likely that your lid does not seal well enough to make bubbles in the airlock, instead the CO2 leaks between the bucket and lid. This is a common problem with brew buckets. As long as it has krausen it means the yeast are alive and well. You will just need to use a hydrometer to check for completion of fermentation because you can't cheat and use bubbles as an indicator.
