you miss out on a lot of the flavors/aroma if you go straight out of the bottle when drinking. or were you referring to straight from the carboy?
Nope. I'm too much of a beer snob anymore to drink out of a bottle. I did it recently at a super bowl party and felt like I was disrespecting the beer the whole time.
Nothing wrong with what you are doing, but personally I feel that drinking from a glass gives you a whole different perspective on the beer you are drinking.

Straight out of the carboy would be hard-core. Screw your 40... I got a 640.
I always use a glass but when I bring homebrews to parties people usually drink straight out of the bottle. Oh well.
