I just bought the grain to brew 5 gal amber ale then found out I won't have time to brew it for two weeks.
It's sealed in a plastic bag. Which is the best way to keep the grain until I can brew. In my pantry at 76F or in my refrigerator?
Thanks

If it is in a vacuum pack it should be fine for 2 weeks.
Treat it like breakfast cereal, once the bag is open you don't have long to eat it before it goes stale.

I have ~50lbs of grain in 10lb vacuum sealed bags. I just keep them in a plastic bin with a snap on lid in my brew shed. As mentioned, the vacuum sealing will keep them fresh. I mostly want to keep critters out of them.

Hi. Two weeks is really not a problem no matter where you store it, as long as it's still in the sealed bag. @kh54s10 said it best...cool and dry. Here is another thread that would be pertinent to your question. Hope this helps. Ed

._. all those people with hugantic fridges... I only have the lower left veggie drawer at my disposal, and it's filled with yeast, hops and LME.

Thanks everyone. No. My fridge is small. It's not going over too well that I'm leaving a huge bag of grain on top of the milk

I've stored milled grain in nothing more than a bag knotted at the top for 3-4 weeks without issue. Stored in a pantry at whatever the pantry temperature is... I'm assuming pantry temp.

The best way to store the milled grain is dry. Temperature isn't much of a problem, moisture is. For 2 weeks it won't matter too much how you store it. For more than 6 months it might.
