Sanitation has always been a big focus of mine (sometime maybe too much focus). Anyways, I have a full sized refrigerator in my garage that is dedicated to brewing. The last time I brewed, I got the idea to store some of my equipment in the fridge to avoid any bacteria growth. I now have my syphon, wine thieve, chill plate, tubing, and hydrometer all stored in the refrigerator.

Does this make sense or am I exposing my equipment to moisture issues?

My brew equipment is stored in a closet and gets dusty sometimes when I spend a long time between brews. Cobwebs on tubing, and who-knows-what lurking inside of cracks and crevices. No matter though - it all gets washed and sanitized and looking like new before brewing anyway. I wouln't think twice about where I stored it, since it needs to be cleaned beforehand anyway.

When done brewing, clean, sanitize, and cover your brew gear with plastic film to minimize dust collection.

This allows storage of equipment almost anywhere.
