still airlock activity after a week

I have brewed a few batches but i never had the airlock this active after a week..I was actually worried that i underpitched and did not expect to see this much activity...Is it common for alot of activity a week after pitching? It would not be active if i underpitched right? thanks

It's certainly nothing to worry about. As many people say airlock activity isn't a good gauge of fermentation activity, but it's likely that it's still going. Leave it for at least another week or two. What kind of style were you brewing? What strain of yeast? A lot of factors come into play here.

its a belgian style using wyeast belgian strong 1388..so im expecting it to be going for awile..just worried i underpitched cause it was an OG of 1077 and i only used one smack pack and made a half gallon starter.

Oh I wouldn't worry at all. I haven't used that strain but a lot of Belgian strains can take a while to finish up. My saison wasn't ready for close to 4 weeks. I had activity after three weeks even fermenting at temperatures of 75f+, and I under pitched by many people's standards. Just chill and let it do it's thing!
