Stick on Thermometer vs Probe

Will using a stick-on thermometer on the fermenter give as accurate a temperature reading as actually probing the beer itself?

Its usually pretty close.. Maybe a degree or two off.. Best way to verify is to sanitize and insert a probe thermometer and see if it matches your stick on thermometer.

I use one of those stick on ones and it appears to be in line with actual temps. They really do work well
