I am bottling my MO/Mosaic SMaSH this evening which has been dry-hopping for the past 7 days (2 oz of hops). The thought just crossed my mind of taking the bag of used dry-hops and steeping them in the priming water before adding it to the bottling bucket.

Would this add any significant hop aroma/flavor?

Would it possibly extract the grassy taste you can get from dry hopping too long since the hops have already been used for a week dry-hopping and don't have much oils left to extract?

Has anyone done this before with good results?

Is this a terrible idea?

EDIT: not a good idea, as I pulled the hop bag out of the fermenter I could see the hop particle cloud coming through the mesh. Figure that wouldn't be good to add to anything going into the bottling bucket.
