Steeping dark grains

I would like to brew a 10 gallon batch of a RyePA. After boil I would split I to 2 buckets then add the liquid from steeping some midnight wheat to one of the buckets to get 5 gallons of black RyePA and 5 gallons of regular RyePA. Anyone see any issues with doing it this way?

I would think that it would work fine. How much is "some" Midnight wheat?

Yes, that would work. But don't forget to bring the liquid from the steeped grains to a boil first, and then cool and add to your wort.

I've done something similar when party-gyling. It works great. As Yooper said, be sure to boil for 10-15 mins first.
